Incnedio is a strong damage spell that allows you to summon flames and attack a nearby enemy . It has limited range however so make sure to check your positioning before using the spell to avoid wasting your spell cast.

5. How to Learn the Incendio Spell

To learn the Incendio spell, you must guide the cursor along the symbol shown on the screen until it reaches the end of the path. A red trail of light will follow the cursor shortly after, which will lead to failure if it catches up.

Press the corresponding symbols as the cursor passes through them to accelerate the cursor and complete the minigame under the time limit .

You can find Professor Hecat in the classroom. You have to complete 2 quests for her before she rewards your character and teaches you the Incendio spell.

Lucan Brattleby is the student you need to talk to in order to enter fights. You can fight solo or with your chosen companion. The goal of each round is to beat the opposing team's students . Attack them with spells of the same color as the shields they're hiding behind (e.g. purple shield - Accio, yellow shield - Levioso) and use the Protego spell to block their ranged attacks.

Spell Combination Training is the title of a series of side quests and we have described them in detail on a separate page of our walkthrough. For the current assignment, you only need to complete the first round of training.

Lucan Brattleby is the apprentice you need to talk to in order to prepare the dummy for spell training. Your task is to perform a series of spells based on their list at the top of the screen (e.g. Levioso and then a series of basic spells). Successive spells must be cast in short intervals so that the dummy does not land - then you would have to repeat the entire sequence.

Meet Professor Hecat again. You will learn the Incendio spell . Put it immediately into the active slot in your quick pick spellset (right click on the gamepad and select 1 of the 4 slots for Incendio).

While completing tasks and assignments may not be one’s cup of tea, Hogwarts Legacy makes learning even more enticing with its rewards. So! This guide will detail how to complete Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1 in Hogwarts Legacy.

Hogwarts Legacy – Professor Hecat’s Assignment 1

Professor Heact’s first assignment will only unlock after you complete The Locket’s Secret in Hogwarts Legacy. After that, you can seek out Professor Hecat in the Defence Against the Dark Arts classroom. However, you must complete two tasks before she teaches you how to use the Incendio spell as a reward for completing Assignment 1.

The first is to win two rounds of Crossed Wands, and the second is to practice Spell Combination with Lucan Brattleby. After you’ve received your tasks, make your way to the Clock Tower and speak to Lucan Brattleby to complete your rounds of Crossed Wands.

Once you’ve won your battles of Crossed Wands, find and speak to Lucan Brattleby again to begin your next task. In the first round of the Spell Combination practice, you must cast one Accio followed by four basic attacks; and in your second practice, cast one Levioso with four basic attacks.

Finally, in the last practice, you must cast one Levioso , followed by three attack spells, then cast Accio, followed by four attacks. Now that your assignments are complete make your way to Professor Hecat, who will teach you how to use the Incendio spell!
